Session 1: 10am - 10:30am ET with Matt Bergman "Google Drawings: How to Create & Edit Drawings & Graphics"
Google Drawings is a collaborative free tool that you and your students can use to create and edit drawings, diagrams, graphic organizers, infographics, and more. While Google Drawings is fairly easy to use, it is helpful to know some basic features and tips so that you can readily begin creating and collaborating. Join Matt Bergman as he demonstrates step-by-step how to create and work with Google Drawings. As part of creating a drawing, he will show how to add, fill, and format shapes. In addition, Matt will show how to insert images, text, and other objects, as well as how to layer and combine them. He will also explain how to incorporate Drawings into Docs or Slides, as well as share them and add collaborative comments or notes.
Session 2: 11am - 11:30am ET with Lyn Hilt "Integrate Google Drawings across Content Areas to Support Learning "

While it is certainly good for those things, Google Drawings is also a versatile application that students and teachers can use to create numerous tools and projects that support learning. Join Lyn Hilt as she shares ways to integrate the use of Google Drawings across a variety of content areas to engage your students and enhance learning. Come discover how Drawings can be used for creating graphic organizers, designing newsletters, visualizing math concepts, and more.
Session 3: 12pm - 12:30pm ET with Kim Munoz "Google Sheets: An Intro to Working with Data, Using Preset Formulas, & More"
Google Sheets is a powerful free online app that you and your students can use to enter and analyze data on collaborative spreadsheets. Google Sheets are easy to use, but it can be helpful to know some basic features and tips so that you can readily begin building, formatting, and sharing data and spreadsheets. Join Kim Munoz as she demonstrates step-by-step how to create a basic Google Sheet. As part of creating a sheet, she will show how to enter, sort, and find data. In addition, Kim will show how to apply preset formulas, insert rows and columns, add comments, include images, share sheets, and more.
Session 4: 1pm - 1:30pm ET with Lauren Boucher "Google Sheets: Project Ideas & Implementatin Across Curriculum"
The idea of "using spreadsheets" usually doesn't elicit much excitement or anticipation, yet spreadsheets can be extremely versatile tools in your instructional toolbox. From math to science, and everywhere in between, spreadsheets can provide autonomy and engagement for your students - and when you add the convenience, ease-of-use, and collaborative aspect of Google Sheets, you have a true powerhouse. Join Lauren Boucher as she shares implementation and project ideas using Google spreadsheets at all grades levels. You will receive project templates and lesson resources, and will leave with a better understanding of how truly useful spreadsheets can be!
